Tell the City to improve its planned Mesa Drive bike lanes

The City has released bike lane plans for Mesa Drive. The plans are an improvement but MUST be better. The plans include almost no bike lane protection. This is unsafe, particularly for vulnerable users, and could encourage parking in the bike lane.

Take the City’s Mesa Drive (Spicewood Springs Rd - Far West Blvd) survey before June 17th and call for fully PROTECTED bike lanes.

  • I support protected bike lanes and additional pedestrian crossings on Mesa

  • I want high-quality protected bike lanes along the ENTIRE stretch of Mesa, not just in certain areas and not in the door zone of cars

  • Consider two-way protected bike lanes like on Shoal Creek Boulevard to more easily allow for protection and avoid door zone bike lanes

  • At intersections, close slip lanes and install protected intersections
