Tell TxDOT: “NO US 290 expansion, yes to Shared Use Paths”

TxDOT is planning to expand 13 miles of US 290, from SW Austin to Dripping Springs, from its current four lanes to six lanes.

Expanding highways only worsens congestion, along with air and water pollution, crashes, and car-dependency. Population growth doesn’t have to mean more cars. TxDOT should fund transit, walking, & biking instead.

Message TxDOT and let them know: “I oppose US 290 expansion. I support Shared Use Paths behind barriers on both sides of the highway.”
